It remains in a state (NO or NC) only as long as it is being compressed. Once the user removes the compression of the switch the device is no longer in that state.

Twist to release

It remains in a state (NO or NC) until twisted. It requires to be twisted on left to get back to its normal state.

Pull to release

It remains in a state (NO or NC) until pulled. It requires to be pulled back to get back to its normal state.

Key to release

Key to release

It remains in a state (NO or NC) until a turn of the key. It requires its key to be inserted and turned on left to get back to its normal state.
